Registration is Wednesday August 14th at 6:30pm. Can't wait to see you there!
Things to Bring on a Campout
You may bring a snack to eat before we leave school for the campout. Please throw out any snack not eaten – do not keep it in your tent. No food should ever be kept in your tent, we don’t want to attract ants, raccoons or bears J
Below is a generic camping checklist. Keep it to use for each campout !
Make sure all items have your name on them!

Hearts Thankful to God and your pathfinder club staff for the chance to attend a pathfinder campout.
Make sure to make lots of lasting memories of your campout.
And getting to know God as your Creator and Best Friend!

Sleeping Gear:
- Sleeping bag – if you need to purchase one, consider getting one rated down to 20 degrees – we had several campouts last year at or below 20 degrees. Rolled or in a stuff sack
- Sleeping mat/pad – do not bring an open foam rubber pad (egg crates) or large air mattress
- Flashlight that works & extra batteries
- Small pillow –optional
- Light jacket/sweater & Club Sweatshirt – for cool evenings
- 1 or 2 pair pants/jeans/sweat pants
- 1 or 2 pair of shorts or capris
- 3 shirts – long / short sleeved-AND bring your pathfinder tee-shirt – for Sabbath
- 3 sets of underwear
- 3 - 4 pair of socks
- 1 hat – wear while hiking thru woods as a precaution against ticks & sun
- Raingear – poncho, Raincoat, etc
- Swim suit – modest one piece for girls – no two pieces
- Pj’s
- Complete Class A pathfinder uniform (for Camporee in April)
- Warm hat, gloves or mittens, scarf & jacket
- Dirty clothes bag
Shoes:
- 2 pair of shoes (good walking/hiking shoes of lace-up style/waterproof &/or Tennis)
- 1 pair of water shoes/flip-flops or water sandals – these are not to be worn hiking.
- Do not wear sandals, dress or open toed shoes.
- Deodorant
- 2-Towel *( Beach towel-if swimming)
- Washcloth
- Soap in container
- Toothbrush in case
- Toothpaste
- Hair brush/comb
- BUG REPELLENT
- Sunscreen
- Canteen/water bottle-Don’t forget it!
- Folding camp chair – marked with your name
- Medications – These must be given to Doc Daugherty
- Bible –(We are using the NIV to work on Bible Bowl)
- Notebook, pencil (to fit in pocket when hiking)
- Chap stick –lip balm
- Watch (opt)
- Compass (opt)
- Scout or Swiss knife (Opt)
- Sewing & First Aid kits
- Tissues & Extra TP (in case restrooms are out)
- Camera (Opt)
- Day pack for day hikes (opt)
- Mess kit

- No radios, game boys, electronic equipment, cell phones or role-playing cards.
- Jewelry
- Do not bring food-except for Friday’s sack snack. No caffeinated drinks
- No food/candy/drinks/snacks/gum/anything that would attract animals or ants is ever allowed in tents – no exceptions!
- Each Pathfinder has their assigned tent and can only go into their assigned tent, unless receives permission from their staff person & all members of tent to be visited.
- No Pathfinder may go into a tent of the opposite sex. Failure to abide by this rule will result in parents picking up their Pathfinder early from the campout in addition to other consequences to be determined by Pathfinder staff.
- No public display of affection.
- Please do not bring sporting equipment – Pathfinder staff will provide items needed.
- No fireworks
- No firearms
- No knives
- For this camping trip: Pocket knives with blades less than 4 inches are ok if used responsibly under the direction of counselors. Failure to abide by this rule will result in the loss of the pocket knife & inability to participate in scheduled activities with the pocket knife.
